Product Owner - Equipment to lead and support strategic business initiatives by defining priorities, aligning stakeholder needs, and driving the successful delivery of solutions across key programs such as WorkSight, Oracle R12, and other enterprise transformation efforts.
This individual is an integral part of the IT Business Strategy Partner team, ensuring the effective use of our existing applications and processes to create seamless user experiences that enable efficient business processes. This individual is a critical knowledge expert that will work across multiple business users, business process owners, product owners, and development teams to design efficient business process flow across the Equipment value stream, supporting the overall strategic organizational objectives of Trane Technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Ensures alignment of product team priorities with all stakeholders and other product teams to manage a clear product roadmap
- Lead business process requirements definition related to Field Sales Order Entry and Management along with Equipment fulfillment in collaboration with business teams
- Project manages and executes activities to deliver business process improvements
- Manages intra-project dependencies and their interrelationship and impact upon other programs and projects
- Leads collaboration with impacted process owners, business functions such as Finance, Tax and other product teams to ensure solutions meet all business needs
- Ensures compliance to project management processes and tools
- Operates in a team environment for the effective performance of the project in completing assignments
- Analyzes and finds alternatives to ineffective or outdated standard processes
- Involves relevant stakeholders in identifying the root causes of problems
- Recommends alternate, innovative solutions and consistently gains agreement about best solutions
- Owns project management of action item resolution and business requirement decisions
- Communicates product impact to business stakeholders through dashboards, reporting, and presentations.
- Travel (25% depending on location and projects)
QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in project or program management is required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, etc.)
- Experience with Agile methodology is a plus
KEY COMPENTENCIES:- Process knowledge of the Trane Commercial Field Sales Offices with experience in the areas of Project fulfillment, sales order creation/management, and financial management of Equipment, Service, Contracting and/or Pricing and Bidding preferred
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team as well as collaborate with multiple roles and functions within Trane Technologies
- Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence individuals across all levels in the organization
- Ability to problem solve by anticipating potential roadblocks, conducting root cause analysis, evaluating robustness of corrective action plan, and overseeing plan implementation
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple priorities at once
- Strong attention to detail, resilient & adaptable
- Must be energetic, forward thinking, and creative with high ethical standards
- Financial acumen and business case development experience
- Fosters Trane Technologies leadership principles
Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:$123,721.66 - $173,004.99
