What We’re Looking For:
Iridium is seeking a Product Manager, Next Generation Devices to take responsibility for a critical and evolving part of Iridium’s product portfolio. In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing ideas and solutions in support of product strategy and execution for both physical hardware and associated software operations and management capabilities. This role is central to shaping how our customers connect, integrate, and innovate on the Iridium global network. You’ll execute on product strategy, guide cross‑functional teams, and drive execution for a portfolio that sits at the heart of our future direction. What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with Iridium’s Line of Business leaders to define product strategy, identify new products and services, and implement high-value strategic ideas
- Create advanced business cases, market demand descriptions, product definitions, features, and functionality for executive presentations and roadmap decision-making.
- Identify marketing requirements and product specifications for products and their corresponding services, as well as network, gateway, or billing/provisioning systems.
- Partner with the engineering teams to translate marketing requirements into scalable technical implementation, providing expertise-driven recommendations and informed trade-off decisions
- Build and maintain comprehensive product plans, including competitive analysis, pricing strategies, partner engagement models, and market share goals
- Lead cross functional execution by developing project plans and guiding products through development, beta trials, and commercialization.
- Oversee the development of technical, user, and marketing documentation for internal and external use, ensuring training and process materials are accurate and accessible.
- Support sales teams through technical presentations, sales training material, white papers, lab demonstrations, and other customer engagements.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years’ total experience, with 2-5 years in Product Management, Technology, or Sales/Sales Engineering role
- 1+ years in an engineering development role, specifically with hardware, firmware or radio frequency
- Strong relationship‑building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and engage external partners
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues
- Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions andcome up without-of-the-box solutions
- Exceptional MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to easily and quickly conduct extensive Internet research
Things ThatWould beGreatif You Brought to the Table:
- Experience in the cellular communications industry, wireless or satellite products and services
- A systemslevel mindset with the ability to understand how chipsets, modules, waveforms, and network services interoperate in realworld deployments
- Handson experience with hardware or embedded products, such as RF systems, chipsets, modules, or integrated devices
- Experience with requirements development, interactions with operations organizations, customer support and training
- Master’s Degree is a plus but not required
- Proficiency in any foreign language
We’ll also need you to:
- Be able to work in the office 3 days a week to foster collaboration with the team and stakeholders
- Be able to travel up to 25%
- Be a U.S. Citizen
Work Environment:
This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.

Under Iridium’s Hybrid Work Policy, employees are expected to work at least three days per week (approximately 60%) in an Iridium office to support collaboration, relationship-building, and professional growth.

Base Pay Range: $120,000 - $155,000 USD
Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors and this range represents an estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Base salary is only one part of our compensation package for this role.You may also be eligible for company stock and annual bonus.
