JOB DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, plan and build services supporting data migration and data management activities, with coordination across data governance and data product delivery objectives. Identify customer requirements and integrate them into the product roadmap. Author detailed user journeys focusing on cross-section of business needs and users' access. Collaborate with engineering team to refine requirements, test features in pre-production environments and coordinate and integrate reviews with customer business processes. Prepare and design materials, prototypes and training materials in partnership within key stakeholders to support end users, and balance feature delivery against technical non-functional requirements mandated by IT governance to ensure highly performant solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Product Manager, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Product Manager, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: product discovery, requirements refinement and backlog prioritization capacities supporting the product SDLC; creating and managing data governance solutions systems for data access policy management, access rules engine, and metadata management, utilizing tools such as Immuta, Snowflake, and AWS; defining and implementing data management processes such as data access management, policy definition, policy insights and visualization and data platform access; user requirements discovery and synthesizing customer needs into clear product requirements to support stakeholders such as the Chief Data Office, Data Owners, Data Publishers, Data Stewards, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists; problem and solution framing using Word, PowerPoint, and Confluence; visual representation of problems and solutions using Visio and Lucid; data analysis and transformation using Excel, Alteryx, SQL Editor, Python, and Spark; Teradata, Snowflake, AWS and Oracle databases; assessing Java code for testing; collaborating with engineering teams to deliver product features via API; translating business requirements into technical specifications.
