Full Job Description
The Product Manager is expected to balance sales growth, margin, inventory productivity, supplier performance, and customer needs while building a competitive national product offering. This position requires strong commercial judgment, market awareness, analytical ability, and the ability to turn business insights into clear actions.

The Product Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth while effectively managing margin, inventory, supplier performance, and customer needs. This role develops and manages a competitive national product offering by using market insights, customer feedback, and data to identify opportunities and guide business decisions. Success requires strong commercial judgment, market awareness, analytical skills, and the ability to turn insights into clear, actionable strategies.

Position Responsibilities may include:

  • Identify and prioritize business opportunities through Voice of Customer and market share analysis.
  • Develop business cases for the development of new products, including recommending product positioning and pricing strategy to produce the lowest cost products, and attain the highest possible margins and long-term market share.
  • Manage product life cycles by establishing short and long-range visions for products.
  • Partner closely with Regional Parts Managers and sales leadership to identify and capture growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate and escalate risks in projects/products to supervisor and senior management when appropriate.
  • Monitor competitive activities/products and provide continuous gap analysis in products/services.
  • Lead supplier business reviews covering sales, profitability, inventory, service levels, rebates, pricing, and growth opportunities.
  • Establish price to market through margin analysis and competitive positions.
  • Provide sales support for product benefits and features internally and externally (Product/Dealer Meetings)
  • Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

  • Knowledge of durable goods manufacturing processes.

  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC technology, Aftermarket part components, and industry
  • Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.


Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, distribution, sales, or a related field preferred.
  • HVAC Aftermarket or distribution experience strongly preferred.


Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree. My preference would be in the sciences.
  • MBA a plus
