Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Investment Operations Product Manager to own our core data processing and reconciliation products. The Product Manager is tasked with overseeing the design, development, and management of specific products or a group of products. This role encompasses activities ranging from product definition and planning to production and go-to-market strategies. The Product Manager plays a crucial role in defining the roadmap for their product(s), essential for achieving targets related to bookings, client NPS, and gross margin within their component.

They collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and prospects to identify new product capability requirements aimed at driving organic growth. Close cooperation with development teams ensures the successful creation and introduction of these new capabilities to the market. Additionally, the Product Manager takes on the responsibility of testing and deploying these fresh features with clients, while also promoting future growth to a wider audience of CW clients and prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns a product in the Clearwater system.


  • Prioritizes and manages the backlog for their product.


  • Defines requirements for feature development.


  • Collaborates with their development team on the design and building of features & ensures the team understands the business value of features.


  • Defines the product roadmap for their product and contributes to the broader company roadmap.


  • Communicates regularly about the roadmap and upon release of functionality.


  • Speaks with clients about their product's use case and future needs.


  • Measures success of new feature releases.


Required Skills:

  • Experience with enterprise investment accounting or portfolio management systems supporting public, private or alternative assets.


  • Proficiency with modern product and project management tools and methodologies (e.g., agile, Jira, Aha, backlog management, discovery and validation practices).


  • Knowledge of capital markets including private markets, equity, fixed income, and derivatives is key.


  • Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.


  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.


  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.


  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in finance and/or Accounting or a related field.


  • 5+ years of experience in investment operations, middle office, and internal tools, with a strong focus on reconciliation workflow


  • Prior experience working for or with insurance, asset owners, asset managers, and/or service providers.


  • Experience leveraging AI, machine learning and/or LLM for projects that have successfully improved accuracy or efficiency.
