Overview of Position Step into a high-impact Product Manager role supporting Assurant's manufactured housing insurance business, a growing market with meaningful momentum and demand for affordable housing solutions. In this role, you will connect data, market intelligence, customer needs, product performance, and cross-functional execution to keep the product competitive, profitable, and positioned for long-term growth. You will work across the business, from actuarial and IT to account teams, operations, and product support, to move ideas through filings, implementation, launch, and ongoing optimization.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? - Manage manufactured home insurance product work end to end, translating product performance, customer needs, market dynamics, and business objectives into clear product priorities and action.
- Lead filing-related work, including product research, competitive analysis, actuarial partnership, rate considerations, regulatory filing review, compliance readiness, and implementation planning.
- Review product performance reports, market trends, customer feedback, release documentation, system guides, workflows, specifications, and other product support materials to ensure teams and partners are ready to execute.
- Use SQL, product data, and business insights to identify opportunities, track the success of implemented solutions, assess market positioning, and recommend product improvements or differentiation strategies.
- Drive product initiatives from customer problem identification through requirements development, solution definition, user stories, QA, release coordination, launch readiness, and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Coordinate across actuarial, IT, account executives, operations, product support, and product teams to resolve issues, align priorities, support market-ready fulfillment, and provide a seamless enterprise experience.
- Support the full product lifecycle, from ideas and validation through launch, optimization, continuous improvement, best-practice sharing, and retirement while building consensus on execution priorities.
What are the requirements needed for this position? - 5+ years of experience in product analysis or product management role.
- Strong analytical and SQL skills, and experience using product performance data, customer feedback, market trends, or other business insights to identify opportunities and recommend action.
- Experience leading or owning multiple stages of the product lifecycle, such as requirements development, launch, implementation, performance monitoring, optimization, or retirement.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? - Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
- Experience in P&C insurance product management or financial product management space is preferred.
What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job? Remote, US-based role with standard business hours. General office demands.
How much should I expect to travel? Team get-togethers and in-person meetings approximately 2-3 times per year.
Pay Range:
$88,000.00 - $147,000.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
