What does a successful Product Manager do at Fiserv?

As a Product Manager in the Digital Payments division, working on our Small Business Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables product, you will join a dynamic team of Product Managers delivering new solutions to financial institutions and fintech partners serving small business customers. The team is responsible for understanding the competitive landscape and market needs, defining roadmaps, and driving execution. In this role, you must recognize key dependencies across internal and external teams to deliver successful product launches.

What you will do:

You will own end-to-end product definition and delivery for key capabilities, partnering with engineering, risk/fraud, operations, and business stakeholders to solve client problems and deliver measurable customer and business outcomes. You will develop a deep understanding of customer workflows and needs, while staying aligned to broader company strategy and objectives.
  • Translate business opportunities into clear product requirements and an executable delivery plan with cross-functional partners and SMEs.
  • Develop deep understanding of financial institution needs and the needs of their small business customers.
  • Lead the product development lifecycle from discovery through delivery, partnering with Product Owners in a scaled Agile environment and managing delivery across up to four concurrent releases.
  • Define MVP scope and prioritize requirements by balancing time, effort, investment, and value trade-offs.
  • Own go-to-market definition and execution.
  • Lead cross-functional execution against the roadmap across engineering, operations, risk/fraud, treasury, legal, compliance, sales, and marketing.
  • Manage third-party solutions and partners, where applicable, to ensure performance expectations are met.
  • Identify competitive and alternative offerings and develop a strategy for winning against the competition.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators to determine how well the product is performing in the market, how it impacts company operations, and ultimately, how it contributes to profit.

What you will need to have:
  • 5-7 years of Product Management experience with direct payments product ownership in an Agile development environment, including work with internal and external engineering teams in a digital banking or fintech environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in information science, engineering, business or a related field required.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and influencing skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests.
  • Strong communication skills with management as well as technical and non-technical colleagues within the company and to clients.
  • Experience supporting web and mobile banking solutions and other digital products.
  • Experience with card acquiring and processing products.
  • Experience with small business payments

What would be great to have:
  • Experience in Product Management with accounting/finance-related software products.
  • Experience in Product Management building products for use by small businesses.
  • Knowledge and experience working with fraud/risk and operational management teams.
  • Knowledge and experience with merchant acquiring.
  • Knowledge and experience with real-time payment processing.


Salary Range
$120,000.00 - $198,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company's sole discretion.
