This role partners closely with business stakeholders, engineering, QA, data teams, data scientists, and Product Management to translate business priorities into actionable features, user stories, and operational requirements. The Product Lead manages the application backlog, aligns enhancements and defect resolution to business outcomes, and ensures delivery supports usability, reliability, control, and adoption across the supported platform. This role plays a key part in connecting product direction with execution for business-critical web applications that depend on coordinated front-end, service, and backend processing components.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and manage the product backlog across web application features, APIs, and backend job-based workflows, ensuring priorities are aligned to business value, operational stability, and roadmap commitments.
  • Translate business needs and product strategy into detailed features, user stories, workflow requirements, and acceptance criteria for user-facing functionality and supporting application services.
  • Partner with engineering, QA, data teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver enhancements and fixes across web interfaces, application APIs, and backend processing jobs.
  • Drive prioritization of usability improvements, operational fixes, and new capabilities that improve user workflows, submission controls, configuration management, and decision support.
  • Coordinate dependencies across upstream data platforms, downstream integrations, authentication, operational support, and platform services required for end-to-end application delivery.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate workflows, clarify business rules, and ensure delivered solutions support intended operational outcomes.
  • Support planning and execution for releases, defect remediation, user acceptance testing, and post-release validation for web application changes.
  • Monitor and communicate backlog status, delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs across application initiatives.
  • Help define and document workflow expectations, user interactions, API behaviors, and operational process requirements to improve clarity and delivery readiness.
  • Partner with technical leads and support teams to drive continuous improvement in application reliability, usability, observability, and issue response.
  • Ensure delivered capabilities align with enterprise standards for security, compliance, supportability, and change control.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
