Full Job Description
Description:

Mercer is seeking a strategic and results-driven AI & Data Capability Product Leader to shape and deliver digital product solutions for Mercer's Health business. This role will lead cross-functional collaboration across business, data science, actuarial, research and technology teams to create commercially impactful, data-driven and AI offerings. This is a hybrid role (3 days per week in a Mercer office, 2 days remote).

As a key interface between business leaders, actuaries, data science teams, researchers and technology partners, this role will help shape and execute a bold commercial AI, data and digital roadmap, transforming how Mercer Health delivers insight, advice, impact and value at scale.

You will count on you to:
  • Lead the productization, roadmap, and delivery of data and AI capabilities within digital products structuring releases against key features and milestones within Mercer's Health business, translating strategy into actionable product initiatives
  • Design and deploy intelligent product features using AI, generative models, and data modeling to translate highly complex data into meaningful, valuable insights.
  • Work collaboratively to shape product opportunities by combining deep client context, commercial framing, and data availability into a cohesive product vision
  • Manage a dedicated offshore data/AI focused product delivery team (data/analytic engineers, data scientist, AI/ML engineer, etc.)
  • Manage stakeholder engagement across a matrixed organization, including actuaries, consultants, investment professionals, and technology teams-to build alignment and ensure relevance
  • Perform market analysis and user research to identify opportunities, understand customer needs and evaluate competition
  • Translate business and client challenges into solution hypotheses and product requirements that deliver intuitive, scalable, and client-centric solutions, working through ambiguity and iterating in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly and credibly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leaders and client-facing professionals.
  • Ground product discovery in real-world use cases, commercial validation, and available data-avoiding theoretical or siloed development
  • Apply deep experience in platform design and digital transformation to modernize legacy processes and drive client experience
  • Drive adoption and engagement to achieve target KPIs.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (legal, compliance, risk, Operations) to ensure smooth, secure, and well-governed product rollouts.

What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Economics); MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, with a track record of leading B2B or platform-based SaaS products from concept to scale
  • Experience in global financial services organizations
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies, platforms and data analysis methodologies
  • Experience delivering complex enterprise features across various internal and external personas
  • Demonstrated ability to manage global teams and partner across business and technical functions
  • Strong background in customer-centric, experience-led application delivery
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex product concepts to stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Experience working in Agile environments with product discovery, backlog ownership, and roadmap development responsibilities.

What makes you stand out:
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM-based product design, B2B platform design and intelligent automation
  • Strong grasp of customer-centric product design and commercial framing
  • Expertise in building products from conceptualization through to release
  • Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or Product Leadership (CSPO, CSP-PO, SAFe, etc.).
  • Comfortable driving transformation within complex organizations.
  • Familiarity with platforms, technologies, and data science concepts relevant to automation, analytics, and intelligent workflows
  • Ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured product opportunities
  • Experience influencing across functional boundaries and working with global delivery teams.

Why join our team:
  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $151,200 to $302,400.
