Position Overview

At Avoya we use technology to connect and support travelers, Independent Vacation Planners, and travel providers throughout the travel purchasing experience. The product department designs and builds that software, which includes: the consumer website (avoyatravel.com), a B2B software suite, and internal management software (along with a handful of smaller properties and platforms).

As the first Product Engineering Manager at Avoya Travel, you will support current developers and development efforts, expand the existing team, and help to define product team structures, processes, and procedures. The product department at Avoya is ready to grow fast; first we want to bring in talented managers to help us build out well balanced and effective teams

What You'll Be Doing...
  • Build and lead a group of amazing engineers, helping to shape our product teams and push the boundaries of travel technology
  • Work with stakeholders to create and implement a cohesive development strategy across a suite of products on multiple platforms
  • Understand business goals and set expectations with stakeholders for deadline-driven commitments
  • Run daily stand-up meetings and weekly or bi-weekly one on ones with engineers
  • Help engineers reach their personal and professional goals through clearly defined expectations and mentorship
