DescriptionWe are hiring a Product Engineer to work in our Global Innovation Center in Grand Rapids, MI with other product developers to create, develop, and implement new products.
What You Will Be Doing:This position will be in our Work Surfaces and Storage studio responsible for researching, designing, and developing new products. This team blends human-centered design, ergonomics research, and industrial design expertise to create solutions that support modern work behaviors. You will be a member of a cross-functional team working to develop complex system products involving multiple materials and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- Minimum 3+ years' work experience in product development within an engineering discipline preferred
- Experience creating and defining performance requirements on engineering drawings
- Ability to apply mechanical engineering principles and knowledge of material science, manufacturing processes, and tools in product engineering

Desired Skills and Experience: - Proficiency in Creo and/or Windchill
- Ability to use various methods and techniques in solving technical problems
- Experience performing and understanding DFMEA/PFMEAs
- Strong understanding of tolerance analysis
The starting annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
