Job Description: Product Director, LC & LCMS

We are seeking an exceptional and highly driven Product Director for Liquid Chromatography (LC) and LCMS to join our team. Reporting directly to the VP of Product, this pivotal role is ideal for a true go-getter with high agency who is willing to roll their sleeves down and drive meaningful impact in a business poised for significant transformation. You will own the entire LC product portfolio, defining and executing a bold vision and strategy to capture market share and ensure we lead the industry in innovation for instrumentation, consumables, and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the comprehensive product roadmap and overarching business strategy for the LC & LCMS portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Deliver the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), including budget management, resource allocation, and performance metrics (KPIs) to drive profitable growth.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach, gathering deep market and customer insights to identify opportunities and translate needs into actionable product requirements and innovative solutions.
  • Drive go-to-market (GTM) plans and product launch initiatives in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Applications teams to maximize adoption and revenue.
  • Foster seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams, including R&D, Supply Chain, Sales, Service, and Consumables business units, acting as the primary interface and decision-maker for the product.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation, development, and launch to optimization and eventual retirement, ensuring regulatory compliance, obsolescence management and hitting high quality standards.
  • Deliver Successful Product Launches for this year including collateral, sales training, proactive care support by working closely with marketing, technical experts, service & quality teams
  • Talent Management develop talent, succession planning and a culture of customer obsessed product organization.


Eligibility Requirements
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in product management or development, with significant experience in a senior or leadership role within the scientific instrumentation or related industry.
  • Domain knowledge of LC & LCMS Chromatography, including instrumentation, method development, and relevant applications in key sectors (e.g., pharma, energy & chemical). This is nice to have, not a must.
  • Demonstrated high agency and a hands-on approach, with a track record of taking initiative, overcoming roadblocks, and delivering tangible results in complex, matrixed organizations. <>
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills to translate complex data and market dynamics into clear, decisive action plans.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders, mentor product managers, and build consensus across departments.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or a related scientific/technical field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $180,000 to $210,000 CAD. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
