Product Designer & UX Researcher
Waterloo, ON

Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct research activities such as user interviews, concept testing, usability studies, surveys, and competitive reviews.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into clear insights and actionable product recommendations.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to understand requirements, technical constraints, and opportunities.
  • Use research and feedback to iterate on designs and improve usability, accessibility, performance, and consistency.
  • Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, interaction patterns, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Contribute to shared design systems, components, and standards.
  • Participate in design critiques and collaborate with teammates to strengthen the quality of the work.
  • Communicate design rationale and research findings clearly to cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
  • Support product experiments and help evaluate outcomes using user feedback and product data.


Requirements
  • BA/BS in Interaction or Product Design, Human Factors, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in product design, UX design, UX research, or a related role.
  • A portfolio or case studies that show your design process, research approach, and contribution to shipped or tested digital experiences.
  • Experience designing consumer-facing mobile or web products; mobile-first experience is a plus.
