OverviewTheProductDataScientistworks with theproductteam toprovide an impact by leveraging data and analytical tools, strategic thinking, and hypothesis-based analysison diverse product and market data sources. TheProduct DataScientist is responsible for modeling complex business problems through statistical, algorithmic, mining, and visualization techniques. Further, they will support senior leadership by creating business insights, reports, and analyses to aid in the decision-making processes andshape the way ISACAsproductsare measured. The outputs of thisrole will assist in developing strategies, evaluating initiatives, and defining and tracking KPIs 6 leading the way for high-quality, data-driven decisions to be made by theproductteam. Their input will be essential to decision making forproductand initiatives that the team creates by helping define the way performance is measured and what questions we should be asking. This role will work closely with not only theproduct team, but also IT, Finance, Operations,and other departments.
Responsibilities
Reporting & Analytics
- Performs large-scale experimentation and builds data-driven models to answer business questionsfrom structured and unstructured data sets
- Proactively mines internal and external data sources to identify trends, patterns, and generate insights into business units and senior leadership
- Performs experimentation to identify hidden relationships between variables in datasets
- Research and implement cutting-edge techniques and tools in machine learning/deep learning/artificial intelligence to make data analysis more efficient
- Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and visualization techniques to various data.
- Supporting the product team with analytics throughout the development process, from high-level product roadmap prioritization to post-launch review
- Overall, provide a detail-oriented, impact-oriented, customer-centric approach to data analysis
Discovery & Insights
- Design and conduct data analysis on ISACAs products and relevant markets,providingdeeper insights and enabling the organization to refine budgets, forecasts, and segmentation.
- Dive deep into data and provide insights and recommendations to drive product innovation, define product goals, and ensure product goals and forecasts can be met or exceeded.
- Research and report on competitors and market trends to benchmark ISACAs current and potential offerings and inform go-to-market strategies
- Translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements to support strategic decisions and team workflows with required information
Stakeholder Management
- Create a roadmap fordataanalysis projects, working with stakeholders todetermineandestablishpriorities to balance ongoing projects with ad hoc requests.
- Facilitate communication across teams and stakeholders throughout all phases of data analysis, from ideation to measurement to reporting.
- Contribute to an effective work environment by setting a positive tone, establishing performance expectations, and driving accountability.
Other Duties
- Support product team members efforts to build their data literacy with guided support and ad hoc training on data analysis results to make sure they are accurately relayed to business stake holders.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to align data access and architectures across organizational initiatives and key data-driven projects.
Qualifications
Required Field of Study:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science, or equivalent work experience
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
- 3+ years of data science, analytics, or product analytics experience.
Description of Minimum Experience Required:
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quant. Analysis
- Proficiency in visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau
- Experience with programming languages and/or statistical analysis tools such as Python, C++, JavaScript, R, SAS, Excel, SQL, MATLAB, SPSS
- Knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques such as descriptive and inferential statistics, feature engineering, generalized linear modeling, regression, text mining, hierarchical clustering, supervised and unsupervised learning, etc.
- Ability to express complex information and communicate the data story in simple, digestible ways
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Field of Study:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Years of Experience:
- 5+ years of data science, analytics, or product analytics experience.

- Fluency in multiple programming languages and statistical analysis tools such as Python, C++, JavaScript, R, SAS, Excel, SQL, MATLAB, SPSS
- Fluency in multiple statistical and data mining techniques such as descriptive and inferential statistics, feature engineering, generalized linear modeling, regression, text mining, hierarchical clustering, supervised and unsupervised learning, etc.
- Strong understanding of AI, its potential roles in solving business problems, and the future trajectory of AI capabilities
