Responsibilities

  • Establish automated compliance checks and manage exception handling and monitoring processes.
  • Guide the assessment and migration of legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA, focusing on process efficiency and data governance.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

- 10+ years of SAP experience with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Product Compliance, product stewardship, or regulatory compliance.

- Minimum two end-to-end Product Compliance implementations, including solution architecture ownership on an SAP S/4HANA program.

- Expertise in Product Marketability and Chemical Compliance, Dangerous Goods Management, and Safety Data Sheet and Label Management.

- Strong knowledge of compliance requirements and purposes, listed substances, regulatory content, supplier compliance, compliance assessments, and product compliance status.

- Experience with regulations and standards such as REACH, RoHS, TSCA, GHS, and applicable dangerous goods requirements.

- Experience with substance, composition, specification, product, material, supplier, and regulatory master data, including governance and migration.

- Strong integration experience with Product Development, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Delivery, Transportation, EWM, and Global Trade processes.

- Experience designing transactional compliance checks, business blocks, releases, workflows, exception handling, and audit trails.

- Knowledge of SDS generation and shipment, dangerous goods classification, packaging and transport checks, labeling, and regulatory reporting.

- Experience with SAP Fiori, roles and authorizations, APIs/interfaces, forms, output management, SAP BTP integration patterns, and embedded analytics.

- Experience leading fit-to-standard workshops, solution governance, functional specifications, testing, migration, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

- Strong knowledge of SAP Activate, global template governance, clean-core principles, and large manufacturing transformation programs.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Product Compliance solution architecture for the program and align it with enterprise architecture and the global template.

- Lead fit-to-standard workshops with Product Stewardship, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales, Legal, Trade, and Regulatory stakeholders.

- Define the target design for Product Marketability and Chemical Compliance, Dangerous Goods Management, and Safety Data Sheet and Label Management.

- Design compliance requirements, purposes, regulatory-content activation, listed-substance management, assessment processes, and compliance-status controls.

- Define product, raw-material, supplier, composition, substance, specification, and regulatory master-data models, ownership, governance, and migration.

- Design integration across product development, BOM changes, sourcing, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, sales orders, deliveries, warehousing, and transportation.

- Establish automated checks, product blocks, approvals, task and event processing, exception management, auditability, and operational monitoring.

- Define dangerous goods classification, packaging, labeling, transport checks, and logistics integration for global operations.

- Define SDS and label authoring, generation, versioning, distribution, shipment, and document-management processes.

- Assess legacy SAP and external solutions, define transition architecture, and lead process and data migration to SAP S/4HANA Product Compliance.

- Guide WRICEF, interfaces, forms, workflows, security, analytics, and BTP designs while controlling customization and protecting clean-core objectives.

- Partner with SAP, regulatory-content providers, implementation teams, and business owners to resolve design gaps and product dependencies.

- Lead reviews, integration testing, defect resolution, mock conversions, cutover, deployment readiness, go-live, and hypercare.

- Proactively identify compliance and delivery risks, drive decisions, mentor teams, and communicate architecture recommendations to program leadership.

Generic Managerial Skills, If any

- Strong solution leadership, ownership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.

- Ability to translate complex regulatory needs into scalable SAP processes and architecture.

- Ability to lead cross-functional business, functional, technical, data, integration, security, and change teams.

- Experience coordinating onshore, offshore, SAP, and external regulatory-content providers.

- Strong governance, risk management, decision facilitation, conflict resolution, and escalation skills.

- Proactive approach to challenging unsupported customizations and driving sustainable outcomes.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 a year
