Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain current programs for environmental compliance, product conformity assessment and declaration, and other country and market specific product registration and certification programs
  • Work with the Purchasing department and Import/Export Compliance department on reporting initiatives related to supply chain transparency, supply chain mapping, and product conformity
  • Collaborate with Purchasing department to ensure that outsourced materials meet requirements for environmental regulations and material safety
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality Assurance to ensure that new and existing products satisfy requirements for environmental regulations and material safety
  • Engage with third parties to carry out product testing, supplier surveys, and product registration to support various compliance requirements
  • Support the collection of declarations and material data from suppliers to support compliance initiatives
  • Analyze data collected internally, from suppliers, and generated through product testing to educate internal stakeholders
  • Compile collected data and create declarations and reporting for various external regulatory bodies
  • Monitor and analyze upcoming regulations and regulatory changes and adjust or implement new internal programs to accommodate those regulations
  • Regulations and compliance initiatives for which the role will be responsible include but are not limited to:
    • EU Regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals (REACH)
    • EU Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS)
    • EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D)
    • California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition65)
    • Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in the US and internationally
    • Poly- and Perfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Restrictions and Bans in the US and internationally
    • International Type Approvals for global product acceptance such as UL Standards, CE Mark, UKCA Mark, GS Safety Mark, etc.


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of compliance experience, preferably in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory research, interpretation, and implementation, particularly ESG and environmental compliance programs.
  • Experience managing large datasets, technical documentation, and compliance reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external organizations.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles and record-keeping requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a detail-oriented, methodical approach.
  • A business-minded professional committed to legal and ethical compliance.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and positively challenge existing practices.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US, now and in the future. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Compensation for this position consists of a fixed salary range of $80k-$100k, plus participation in a quarterly variable wage program that is based on company and employee performance, and that adds significantly to total compensation.
