Job Summary and Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

HCA ITG Product Analyst II contributes to the efforts of reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and testing Clinical Informatics system and user needs as part of the Expanse Testing Team. They often utilize growing experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. They offer reliable Clinical Informatics product knowledge to end users.

HCA ITG Product Analyst II collaborates with team members to define requirements, design the functional solution, identify and resolve project issues, and ensure the IT solution meets requirements. Product Analyst II often assist with multiple projects, some with significant interdependencies with existing systems. They should have the ability to prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Product Analyst II work under general supervision with some latitude for independent judgment. Receives instruction, guidance and direction from others.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

70% Analysis, Design and Issue Resolution

  • Requirements Focus - Ensures specific requirements are met and approved by users where critical to project results and timetable.
  • Process Improvement Focus - Partners with team members to identify opportunities to improve existing clinical processes and methods.
  • Critical Thinking/Decision Making - Applies critical thinking skills to solve problems with effective solutions and to make timely, informed decisions within their control.
  • Applies Knowledge - Understands technical terminology; knows how and when to apply a technical skill or procedure; problem and issue resolution skills.
  • Develops others' and own ideas-Seeks and expands on original ideas, enhances others' ideas, and contributes own ideas about the issues at hand.
  • Subject Matter Knowledge - Ability to provide support for MEDITECH modules, working to become a subject matter expert that leads effort in issue resolution and enhancement requests.

  • Managing Expectations - Manages expectations of customers by ensuring a common understanding of what is needed, associated risks and expected delivery/resolution.
  • Adaptable/Adjusts behavior - Modifies behavior to deal effectively with changes in the work environment.

  • Organizational Awareness and Navigation - Develop an awareness of organizational dynamics; is sensitive to how people and organizations function; escalates when obstacles impact work.
  • Customer Trust & Confidence - Develop relationships, build a positive reputation, provides transparent communications.
  • Functional & Technical Knowledge - Demonstrates moderate level of expertise in a variety of Nursing concepts, practices and procedures. Is aware of current policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the HCA business and clinical organization.

OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prefer past experience in a clinical setting related to Nursing and Physician applications.
  • Prefer experience with MEDITECH clinical documentation applications.
  • Prefer experience with Testing of EHR software or applications
  • Experience with automation tools such as BWS and UiPath preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication capability; the ability to listen and understand.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Sense of responsibility and accountability; someone who takes ownership and initiative.
  • The ability to think and act; decisiveness, assertiveness, with the ability to achieve results quickly.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude; customer service orientation.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Detailed oriented and analytical with good organization skills.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies, methods, and processes.

  • Travel may be required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Requires long hours of very detailed work relating to healthcare data.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with customers, field or stakeholders.
