About the Role:

Hiring: Procurement Specialist 5-7 Years Experience

Location : Lynchburg, VA and Mecklenburg, VA 5 Days Onsite
  • We are seeking an experiencedProcurement Specialistto lead strategic sourcing initiatives, develop category strategies, and manage supplier relationships.
  • This role requires a procurement professional who can partner with cross-functional stakeholders, drive sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and deliver cost-effective procurement solutions while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and recommend sourcing solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFI, RFP, RFQ, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers while identifying new sourcing opportunities.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance, and risk management practices.
  • Monitor procurement pipelines, supplier performance, and sourcing initiatives to support business goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on procurement best practices and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, or Category Management.
  • Strong experience in supplier negotiations and contract management.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $80,000 - $85,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
