Full Job Description
Amentum is seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide equipment support to our government customer in Dahlgren, VA.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive program and logistics support for Navy programs by coordinating resources, tracking requirements, and facilitating communication across stakeholders; support planning, execution, and sustainment activities to ensure mission readiness and alignment with operational objectives.
  • Support programmatic meetings by preparing materials, capturing key decisions, and coordinating follow-up actions; manage program action items to ensure timely completion, and tracked logistics tasking and procurement activities to maintain alignment with program objectives and operational requirements.
  • Provide support in collecting, generating, and tracking procurement requests, including hardware, software and government purchase card requisitions; coordinate and monitor hardware and software maintenance renewals to ensure continuity of operations, accurate documentation, and execution of procurement actions.
  • Submit procurement requests in the Integrated Budget Planning & Execution System (IBPES) and other applicable systems; ensure accuracy and completeness of entries, track request status through approval workflows, and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues and support procurement execution.
  • Record and maintain detailed meeting minutes and notes, capturing key discussions, decisions, and action items; distribute summaries to stakeholders and track follow-up actions to support accountability and effective communication.
  • Prepare and submit Information Technology Procurement Requests (ITPRs) by gathering requirements, validating technical and funding details, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies; track request status through approval and fulfillment, coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues and support acquisitions.
  • Perform a wide range of position-related duties as assigned, adapting to evolving priorities and supporting operational, administrative, and programmatic needs to ensure mission success.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline; or four (4) years of demonstrated subject matter expertise in the discipline of logistics functions and applications, including the qualifications below; or US Naval operational experience at the E4 level or higher.
  • In addition, six (6) years professional or operational experience in developing logistics support requirements and applicable documentation for a DOD major weapon systems program that employs the use of Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products. This includes five (5) years of concurrent experience in logistics management concepts, policies, systems, and practices to provide extensive analysis of the current and future logistics infrastructure. Ability to develop logistic support requirements, identify and establish linkages between functions and tasks common to multiple organizational missions. Professional or operational experience in developing logistics supports requirements and applicable documentation. Two (2) years of concurrent experience, demonstrated for current Navy programs such as Tomahawk and/or SLBM, in performing logistics management functions involving the development of training products, sparing allocation, and embedded help/training for a major weapon control system.
  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain SECRET Clearance.
  • Substantial experience in all MS Office products to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Project and OneNote

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Navy Information Dominance Approval System (NAVIDAS) and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning Experience.


Compensation Details:
US: $80,000 to $100,000
