Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Experienced Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The Level 2 or 3 Procurement Agent is an experienced procurement professional who manages mid-complexity purchasing activities for the OKC site. This role supports tactical sourcing, supplier performance, while ensuring compliance with Boeing policies.

The Level 2 or 3 works independently and partners across functions to drive timely, cost-effective supply solutions.

Key Responsibilities Level 2 Procurement Agent
  • Execute and manage end-to-end procurement activities for mid-complexity goods and services, including requisition review, sourcing, purchase order creation, and contract compliance.
  • Assess supplier proposals, negotiate terms, and make recommendations to reduce cost, mitigate risk, and improve service.
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead corrective actions for recurring issues, and coordinate with quality, engineering, and planning to resolve technical or delivery problems.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Level 1 procurement issues; provide guidance and coaching to junior procurement staff.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects to streamline procurement workflows, and reduce cycle times
  • Support supplier selection/onboarding for new or replacement suppliers consistent with sourcing strategies and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, ensure data quality in ERP systems, and prepare routine procurement metrics and status reports.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and site safety requirements.


The Level 3 Procurement Agent is a senior, independent procurement professional responsible for managing complex procurement packages for the E7 program, including both Commercial and government-subject efforts (TINA/FAR). This role leads end-to-end sourcing for medium-to-high complexity buys, performs cost/price analysis, negotiates contractual terms, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners cross-functionally to deliver schedule and cost objectives. The PA acts with a high degree of autonomy, mentors junior staff, and drives continuous improvement across procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities Level 3 Procurement Agent
  • Lead full life cycle procurement for complex packages (material, components, services, tooling), including solicitation strategy, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, and contract closeout.
  • Execute government-subject procurements in accordance with TINA, FAR, DFARS, and applicable customer flow-downs: prepare/coordinate certified cost or pricing data, support audits, and respond to government inquiries.
  • Conduct robust cost and price analyses, develop negotiation position(s), and document rationale and negotiation results to meet compliance and audit requirements.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve best overall value while mitigating risk (lead time, quality, warranty, intellectual property, indemnity).
  • Manage suppliers for performance, risk mitigation, and corrective action: lead supplier performance reviews, develop corrective action plans, and escalate unresolved technical or quality issues to program leadership.
  • Serve as the primary procurement lead for cross-functional complex procurements; coordinate engineering, quality, finance, planning, and program management to align requirements, schedules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement documentation (negotiation files, certified cost or pricing data submissions, SOWs, change orders) to support audits and program traceability.
  • Identify and drive sourcing strategies, alternative supplier options, and risk mitigation plans (dual sourcing, safety stock, long-lead buys).
  • Mentor and provide subject-matter guidance to Level 1-2 procurement staff; review complex actions and support escalation and training.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes, reduce cycle time, and improve data quality and supplier performance.


Position Responsibilities - Associate Level 2:
  • Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply
  • Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements
  • Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements
  • Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance


Position Responsibilities - Experienced Level 3:
  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies
  • Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions
  • Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management
  • Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications Level 2 Procurement Agent
  • 2-5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience with demonstrated increased responsibility.
  • Proven experience with procurement lifecycle, supplier management, and basic negotiation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP/procurement systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate cross-functionally.


Preferred Qualifications Level 2 Procurement Agent
  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated industries.
  • Exposure to strategic sourcing, category management, or contract administration.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Associate Level 2: More than 1 year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experienced Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Basic Qualifications Level 3 Procurement Agent
  • 6+ years of procurement/purchasing experience supporting aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing programs; experience on complex program(s) preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing government-subject procurements, including practical knowledge of TINA, FAR/DFARS clauses, certified cost or pricing data, and audit processes.
  • Strong cost/price analysis and negotiation skills with documented negotiation wins and cost avoidance / savings results.
  • Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), and experience preparing procurement metrics and supplier scorecards.
  • Proven ability to handle complex multi-stakeholder procurements independently and to meet aggressive schedule and cost targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present negotiation rationale, risks, and recommendations to program leads and senior management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Associate Level 2: Typically 3 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
