ResponsibilitiesA Processing Ops Supervisor oversees daily operational activities, manages teams, ensures process compliance, and drives efficiency and quality in production or service delivery. Please note, this is a 1st shift role - Monday through Friday and occasional Saturday work.
Core Responsibilities
Responsible for supervising and coordinating the workflow within a specific operational area, such as Lube, DeOil, DryBlast, Parts Wash, Chemical, Cytal, Heat Treat plus other areas operating on weekend. Key duties include:
- Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff to ensure productivity and adequate staffing levels
- Planning and allocating tasks and resources to meet production goals
- Monitoring operational processes to ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements
- Ensuring products or services meet established quality standards and customer expectations, implementing corrective actions when necessary
- Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), preparing reports on output, attendance, and incidents, and using data to make informed decisions
- Address employee issues and take appropriate corrective action where needed
- Identifying bottlenecks, operational issues, or inefficiencies and implementing solutions to improve processes and reduce waste or risk
- Acting as a liaison between management and frontline staff, conducting briefings, and ensuring smooth information flow regarding priorities, safety, and operational changes
- Flex employees across different areas to ensure proper HC is allocated in bottle neck areas and ensure proper level of overtime are assigned to meet department goals
- Attend Gemba walks with management team to escalate concern
QualificationsEducation and Qualifications- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or related field preferred
- 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing at least 20+ employees in a manufacturing setting including performance management responsibility
- Organizational and planning skills to coordinate resources and workflows under dynamic conditions
- Technical knowledge relevant to the specific operational area, such as production processes, equipment, or service protocols
- Compliance awareness to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Salary Range:The base pay range for this position in California, $100,000 - $130,000/year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
