Full Job Description
Job Function:
  • The general function of this position is to implement Lean Six Sigma methodology and organization within the plant.
  • This position steers the plant goal deployment process and identify opportunities for improvements based on plant targets KPIs .Responsible for coordinating and executing LSS projects and workshops together with the different departments.
  • Deliver Lean Six Sigma training and provide belt project mentoring towards certification in the plant. Coordinate and carry out improvement projects and workshops on plant level.
  • Works together with the central OEG team for the development of all parts of the system being defined and developed locally in order to standardize any customizations made for the everyday use of the system and any simplifications introduced.
  • Will work together with the functional manager to identify within each function the losses.
  • Facilitates the project selection by plant priority and resource availability using rigorous and methodological approach following the Plant Performance Workshop process once a year. Masters all the techniques and methods provided by the Lean Six Sigma approach and the goal deployment process.
  • Checks the priority with the factory organization and plans the implementation ensuring the integration of them into operational excellence management systems.
  • Ensures the effective and timely communication to all levels of the organization and the involvement of the functions which are necessary for the implementation.
  • Support the 8 Ardagh Key Performance Indicators that will be followed as a performance management system from senior team to hourly activity.
  • Plans and organizes the Goal deployment process steering committee of the plant taking care of all the factors which determine the success of it.
  • Continuously verifies that the activities relating to the field of LSS are carried out in accordance with the methods and the tools.
  • Represents in the plant the reference to whom all come naturally in case of some doubts about the correctness of the application of methods and tools.
  • Comply with Environmental and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policies programs within Department responsibilities.

Job Requirements
  • B.S. degree in a technical related field or a Business degree with technical understanding is required.
  • An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Certification in Six Sigma Black Belt with proven working knowledge of the Lean tools is preferred A minimum of three 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis in World Class Manufacturing is preferred.
    Prior experience as a continuous improvement leader is highly desired. Understanding of WCM continuous improvement principles operational excellence problem solving and statistical methods.
  • People management including team work and coaching ability to motivate develop and influence others Strong technical report writing and oral communication required ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products required Self-motivated and passionate about continuous improvement.
