Scope of Position

This data-driven and solutions-oriented individual, as part of the Sustaining Engineering Department, will be responsible for supporting and improving engineering, manufacturing, and business processes through ownership of Epicor ERP engineering data, product configurators, engineering change management, reporting automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role drives data integrity, operational efficiency, cost reduction, and support for custom engineered product solutions across the organization.

This position reports to Senior Sustaining Engineering. This role is onsite and is based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and validate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through Epicor ERP processes and Data Migration Tools (DMT), ensuring accurate implementation of part revisions, BOM changes, routings, and production standards.
  • Manage Epicor DMT uploads for part creation, revisions, supplier approvals, buyer assignments, and engineering attribute updates while maintaining revision control and traceability.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Epicor Product Configurators to support configurable product offerings and manufacturing requirements.
  • Design and maintain configurator rules, validations, and logic supporting new product introductions, sustaining engineering changes, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Lead annual Epicor cost roll processes to ensure accurate standard costing across all product lines.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Epicor BAQs, dashboards, VBA applications, and automated reporting solutions supporting engineering and business functions.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, bills of materials, and supporting documentation for custom and modified products.
  • Lead Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to improve cost, quality, standardization, and supply chain performance.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and project activities to ensure successful project completion.
  • Participate in New Product Development reviews, providing Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Service (DFS) feedback.
  • Own and complete continuous improvement projects that enhance process efficiency, product cost, or product design.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Epicor engineering data, DMT processes, product configurators, and engineering reporting tools.
  • Drive success through performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Senior Sustaining Engineering Manager or Company management.
  • Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required based on business and project needs.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (in absence of degree, may consider relevant work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in Process Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Product Engineering supporting configurable or custom-engineered products.
  • Working knowledge of Epicor ERP systems, including Product Configurator and Data Management Tool (DMT) functionality.
  • Knowledge of Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), product costing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Inventor software.
  • Ability to take initiative, communicate effectively, and collaborate across departments.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications related to ERP systems, manufacturing, engineering management, or continuous improvement.
  • Experience developing Epicor BAQs, dashboards, and VBA-based reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting configurable product environments and custom-engineered solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Working Conditions:

While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Fort Worth, Texas location (Monday - Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
