Full Job Description
You will:

Engineer or technician in charge of developing or improving new processes, within the Plastics Methods and Process Engineering department:
  • You will support the team through regular coaching, team meetings, and on job training. Ensures the realization of QRQC activities for all problems (including problems from new projects) and including escalation to upper levels of management.
  • You will plan, schedule, conducts or coordinates advanced industrial engineering assignments associated with design, process improvement or development, manufacturing engineering. Support APU Managers / Site Manager in the analysis of issues assigned in the QRQC activities
  • You will estimate workforce needs and schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications.
  • You will maintain liaison with various organization units; reviews progress and evaluates results; makes changes in methods, design or equipment where necessary.
  • You will devise new approaches to problems encountered.
  • You may supervise or coordinate the work of engineers, technicians, designers and others who assist in specific assignments.
  • You will develop flexibility and multi skills with training, participate in suggestion program, fulfill requirements of formal interviews (Appraisals, Career)
  • You are responsible for facilitation and implementation of IP and VPS tools such as improvement proposals, 5S, problem solving, QRQC Involve suppliers, encourage use of QRQC methodology
  • You provide leadership, acts as a role model in the areas of Quality, Productivity, Safety/Ergonomics and Training.
  • You will review daily production schedules with Master Scheduler.
  • You will participate in the established procedures to ensure compliance with the requirements of roadmaps.
  • You work to reduce product / process defects by analysis and prevention techniques: first level analysis of problems found during Assembly / Packaging process (internal investigation, measurement system analysis...). As needed, obtain support from SQA Engineers and other APU Quality Engineers.
  • You will organize and animate Problem Solving Groups with all the functions concerned and supplier representatives to analyze the problem find the root cause and define action plans by applying PDCA and Problem Solving Quality Tools.
  • You support Customer Initial Sample submissions with correct documentation to ensure right first time acceptance for all new Service Part Numbers.


You should have:
  • You have at an Associate Degree-or enough related experience with 3 to 5 years in Production preferably with automotive experience
  • You are a highly skilled Process Engineer with Molding experience and able to take ownership with technical decisions when required
  • You are a Process Engineer able to make bad parts better
  • You are able to analyze and solve problems
  • You have good communication skills and are able to fluently speak to outside vendors
