300MM PROCESS ENGINEER SUMMARYUsing a hands-on approach, identify opportunities to improve the silicon wafer production process within a high volume manufacturing facility. Primary job function is to monitor and improve safety, quality, yield, productivity, and cost by working with operators, technicians, and peers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Identify and address safety risks within the production environment.
- Monitor process data and respond appropriately to maintain quality, yield, and productivity.
- Optimize production costs wherever possible.
- Conduct engineering tests. Use data to quantify results and determine best solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and project management with a hands-on approach.
- Use sound judgment when determining priorities and balancing daily process/production support, project related tasks and outside department requests.
- Analyze and interpret information using statistical methods to generate data-driven process improvement actions.
- Lead or participate in root cause analysis or assist with Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) as needed to provide recommendations, improvements, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other groups to meet specific department and company goals.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process failures and work with maintenance and production to resolve the problem.
- Use lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Understand, follow, and maintain detailed procedures and documentation as required by the company. Provide support and feedback to audits by customers, ISO, and internal auditors.
- Maintain a professional presence with all levels of the organization.
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with employees and leadership staff throughout the company.
- Adhere to SEHA Guiding Principles and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Will perform other projects and tasks, as directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Material or similar engineering discipline).
- Minimum 3 years experience in a "hands-on" engineering role utilizing statistical data analysis techniques (SPC, Excel tools).
- Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret process data to make sound decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-pace and data driven environment where multi-tasking is essential.
- Proficient at creating clear and concise presentations, reports, and process documentation.
- Strong verbal skills to convey technical information to all levels of the company.
- Ability to travel abroad for process investigations at other facilities (approximately 1 week/year). Must be able to get a passport and travel to Japan.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE- Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Project management skills displaying leadership and deadline achievement.
- Experience with JMP.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis position is 100% on-site.
This position is scheduled for Monday-Friday days, however occasional night and weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines. Must be able to read, comprehend, and execute complex instructions and safety procedures. Must be able to work in a clean room environment wearing clean room suit, hood, booties, safety glasses and gloves. May require the use of hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Kneeling, bending and crouching positions, as well as the lifting of parts and use of hand tools in such positions, may be required. Occasionally lifts up to 25 lbs. COMPENSATIONThe range for this position is $87,000-$118,000 per year.
The starting pay offered will be based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including the candidate's skills, education, work experience, position level, internal equity, and budget.
