Process Design Lead is responsible for leading the P&ID Process Design group through both execution leadership and technical governance. This role supervises assigned designers, manages project workload and priorities, and ensures P&ID deliverables are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. The Process Design Lead is responsible for maintaining P&ID standards, procedures, templates, review practices, and quality requirements, while serving as the primary authority for interpreting P&ID standards across projects, master drawing maintenance, MOC activities, and document control.

Responsibilities - Lead, coach, and develop the P&ID Process Design team while managing workload, priorities, resource planning, and project execution
- Coordinate with Process Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Instrumentation, and other stakeholders to support project deliverables
- Manage work intake, prioritize assignments, and balance resources across projects, master drawing maintenance, redlines, as-builts, MOC activities, and standards improvements
- Develop, maintain, and govern P&ID engineering standards, procedures, templates, symbols, checklists, and related documentation
- Serve as the technical authority for P&ID standards, resolving interpretation questions and ensuring consistent application across all projects
- Oversee technical reviews, quality checks, audits, and issuance requirements to ensure compliance with company standards and engineering best practices
- Manage the P&ID document lifecycle, including redlines, as-built drawings, document control, metadata, master drawing maintenance, and project closeout
- Develop training materials and provide technical mentoring to designers, engineers, and other stakeholders on P&ID standards and work processes
- Coordinate P&ID standards, deliverables, and document sharing across U.S. facilities, the France office, and third-party engineering partners
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, consistency, workflow efficiency, and engineering processes while promoting a strong safety culture
- Performs other duties as assigned

QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Drafting/Design Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Experience leading a design or drafting team in a process industry environment
- Strong knowledge of the complete P&ID lifecycle, including project execution, redlines, as-builts, document control, master drawing maintenance, and Management of Change (MOC)
- Demonstrated experience developing, interpreting, and governing engineering standards and review practices
- Expert knowledge of P&ID conventions, symbols, engineering documentation, lifecycle controls, and quality assurance practices
- Strong organizational, leadership, communication, technical review, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to train, mentor, and collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines, locations, and external partners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering document management systems
