We are seeking a strategic and analytical Process Consultant to join our team on a full-time contract basis. The Process Consultant will help the organization improve the way work is performed by examining business operations, evaluating existing procedures, and developing practical process solutions that enhance efficiency, consistency, quality, and customer outcomes.

This role will partner with business leaders, operational teams, and technology stakeholders to understand business challenges and develop sustainable improvements. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with complex information, facilitating discussions, analyzing workflows, and guiding teams through process transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess business operations to determine process effectiveness, productivity, quality, and resource utilization.
• Review existing workflows and identify opportunities to eliminate unnecessary steps, reduce delays, and improve service delivery.
• Work with department leaders and employees to understand operational challenges and desired business outcomes.
• Conduct discovery sessions and process walkthroughs to capture detailed business and operational requirements.
• Develop clear documentation of existing processes, responsibilities, systems, inputs, outputs, and dependencies.
• Design improved workflows and operating procedures that support business objectives.
• Recommend process changes based on operational data, stakeholder feedback, industry practices, and business requirements.
• Perform gap assessments to identify differences between current capabilities and desired future-state operations.
• Analyze the potential impact of process changes on staffing, technology, controls, costs, and customer experience.
• Assist business units in developing practical implementation strategies for approved improvements.
• Coordinate with technology teams to identify opportunities for workflow automation, system enhancements, and digital solutions.
• Translate business process requirements into clear functional specifications for technology and project teams.
• Facilitate process-design workshops, brainstorming sessions, stakeholder reviews, and improvement meetings.
• Develop process documentation, operating procedures, workflow diagrams, business requirements, and implementation materials.
• Establish appropriate measures for evaluating process efficiency, quality, cycle time, cost, and service performance.
• Review process performance after implementation and recommend corrective or optimization measures.
• Support organizational change initiatives by helping teams understand new procedures, responsibilities, and workflows.
• Assist in preparing presentations, executive summaries, process assessments, and improvement recommendations.
• Track assigned process initiatives, deliverables, milestones, risks, and stakeholder actions.
• Promote consistent process standards and encourage continuous improvement across assigned business areas.
• Stay current with emerging process-management practices, automation technologies, and operational improvement techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Organizational Management, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience in process consulting, business analysis, operations, process improvement, or business transformation.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex workflows and develop practical recommendations for improvement.
• Experience documenting business processes, operational procedures, workflows, and requirements.
• Strong knowledge of process analysis, workflow optimization, continuous improvement, and performance management.
• Ability to conduct interviews, facilitate workshops, and gather information from diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational information and identify meaningful improvement opportunities.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong ability to organize multiple assignments and deliverables while meeting established deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio or equivalent process-design tools.
• Experience with process-management, workflow, ERP, CRM, or business automation platforms is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN, Agile, Kaizen, or other improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Relevant professional certification in process improvement, business analysis, project management, or organizational transformation is an advantage.

Compensation & Contract Details

Annual Contract Rate: $105,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, consulting expertise, and scope of responsibility.

Employment Type: Full-time Contract.

Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Contract Term: Initial contract assignment with potential for extension or renewal based on organizational needs, project requirements, and performance.
