Full Job Description
SLB is seeking a Process Automation Lead to oversee the Operational Technology (OT) and physical production environment within the Studio. This role is responsible for ensuring production systems accurately represent field operations while maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and operational performance. As the OT lead, you will provide technical direction on automation, control systems, and integration approaches that support customer engagements and evolving operational capabilities.

We are looking for a collaborative leader with strong industrial automation expertise and a practical understanding of production operations. This role offers the opportunity to influence how advanced operating environments are designed, demonstrated, and continuously improved, while working closely with digital, operations, maintenance, and HSE stakeholders to deliver a credible and impactful customer experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Own the Studio's production systems, equipment, and OT architecture.
  • Design and maintain operational and automation workflows that reflect real production environments.
  • Define and advance control logic, automation strategies, and autonomous operating capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary SME for OT and production systems during customer engagements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial automation, process control, operational technology, or production operations.
  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, DCS platforms, industrial communications, and control system integration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of production operations, automation strategies, system reliability, and industrial safety practices.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation, industrial IoT, or autonomous operations initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States without company sponsorship.
