Full Job Description
Arclin USA, LLC is currently seeking talent for a Process Engineer- II in our new Dillon, SC locationReporting to the Plant Manager, this role will develop, evaluate, and improve the manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities, works closely with automation, engineering, and safety functions to ensure all aspects of change management are executed, and maintain all quality control standards.

Process Engineer - II Job Responsibilities:

Process expert at site to modify and/or add new processes that will improve process, quality, and efficiency.

  • Subject Matter Expert of site 'Process Centerlines', 'Mix Recipes', and 'Process Automation'.
  • Accountable for Key Performing Indicator (KPI) of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Accountable for secondary KPI of 'SCRAP' working with the Operations Manager and operations team.
  • Working extensively with Operations on the floor when needed for troubleshooting production issues.
  • Using technical knowledge to improve quality of existing products and/or new product development.
  • Provide technical assistance to improve process control and reduce variation.
  • Monitor and improve the efficiency of the plant, ensure the manufacturing processes work at optimal levels, maximize the rate and quality of all production lines to meet supply requirements.
  • Carry out process improvement/optimization work including planning and supervising on-floor production trials. Determine areas requiring process improvements and coordinate efforts for achievement
  • Lead technical initiatives in plant operations for troubleshooting and improvements.
  • Leads Corrective and Preventative Action documentation and response, including leading the site in the discipline of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Planning.
  • Prepare and review risk assessments, HAZOPs, PHA's, MOC's
  • Collaborates on the preparation of engineering analysis of projects that includes preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis and equipment selection.


Process Engineer - II Job Requirements:

  • S. in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years engineering experience in a relevant industrial manufacturing facility.
  • On-call for process related production issues and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility.
  • Able to work on production floor with operations team for extended periods of time.


Preferred:

  • Experience working with continuous and batch processes; Paper, Tissue, Non-Woven, Coating, Engineered Wood/Panels, Printing, or Chemical processes a plus.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt.
