Job DescriptionAt U.S. Bank, protecting customer, employee, and company information is fundamental to maintaining trust and meeting our regulatory obligations. This Privacy Risk Professional role is a part of the Enterprise team providing oversight of the Enterprise Data Protection and Privacy (EDPP) Program requirements and ensuring the organization maintains effective governance, risk management, and compliance practices related to privacy and data protection.
This role partners across business lines to facilitate and assist in oversight for a comprehensive framework that safeguards personal information and supports compliance with applicable privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and financial services regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws and regulations, including:
- GLBA
- CCPA/CPRA
- GDPR and international privacy requirements
- State privacy laws and evolving regulatory frameworks
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess organizational impacts.
- Identify, assess, escalate, and monitor enterprise privacy and data protection risks.
- Drive remediation efforts for regulatory examinations, audits, and identified control weaknesses.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically more than eight years of applicable experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- J.D. Preferred but not required
- Considerable knowledge of applicable privacy laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends
- Considerable understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
- Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
- Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skills
- Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
-Effective executive reporting
- Effective relationship building and negotiation skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
- CIPP/US
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
