What You'll Lead
As Gravure Print Plant Manager, you own print department performance-safety, quality, output, and process discipline-while providing technical direction on inks/coatings and gravure operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and coach Print Supervisors; reinforce clear accountability, training, and performance management
- Drive continuous improvement in methods, productivity, scrap reduction, and troubleshooting on press
- Ensure strong use of color formulation and ink inventory software; verify accurate ink/coating usage data capture
- Coordinate with QA and purchasing to maintain consistent substrates and support go/no-go quality decisions
- Build and execute a preventive maintenance program for print lines; route work orders and follow through to closure
- Maintain compliance reporting and documentation, including monthly NHDES reporting
- Enforce company safety and health standards; participate in supervision and training meetings
Required qualifications:
- 5-10 years in a quality-focused manufacturing setting, including 5+ years leading teams
- Managerial experience in coatings and/or printing; rotogravure or flexography experience required
- Strong people management, communication, and follow-through
- BS degree or higher; organic chemistry/coatings formulation or application concentration preferred
