Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to lead structural engineers and Revit designers with quality deliverables on a broad mix of US government projects across multiple Departments and agencies.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Perform as Structural Lead Engineer to efficiently and accurately of a variety of structural engineering assignments to prepare quality structural drawings in Autodesk Revit, specifications via SpecsIntact, calculations and other design deliverables suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
  • Interfaces with other Engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated design products and with other departments to support procurement and construction activities.
  • Prepares detailed requisitions for construction services,
  • Prepares material quantity takeoffs, construction cost estimates, surveys, and designs.
  • Review and approve fabricators' submittals.
  • Provides engineering responses to Requests for Information and may work directly with construction teams to resolve issues and/or revise design products during construction.
  • Provides technical guidance to Revit/BIM Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and Master's degree in Structural Engineering and typically 12+ years of related work experience.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Autodesk Revit and other PC software packages typically associated with structural engineering is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required.
  • Experience in structural design on US Government projects, including substructures, above-grade concrete structures, steel framing design, connection detailing, and special inspections.
  • Professional Engineer registration in Texas.

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
