Requisition Summary

Join Northrop Grumman's Communications organization as a Website Publisher supporting our enterprise digital experience. You will publish and maintain high-quality content on our corporate website using Sitecore, working at the intersection of communications, content, UX and web technology.

You will partner with communicators, designers and platform managers to turn approved content into clear, user-friendly web experiences. This is not a software development role; coding is not required. Experience with Sitecore or other CMS platforms is helpful but not required.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

Publish and maintain website content
  • Build, format, publish and update web pages in Sitecore following established publishing processes and brand standards.
  • Translate approved communications into effective web pages, including page structure, hierarchy, formatting, links, imagery and calls to action.
  • Review pages for accuracy, consistency, accessibility, functionality and overall user experience.
  • Manage multiple publishing requests and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Troubleshoot routine publishing issues and coordinate with platform managers when technical support is needed.
  • Apply metadata, tags and taxonomy standards so content is searchable, consistently categorized and aligned to enterprise information architecture.
  • Maintain page metadata (titles, descriptions, keywords) to support usability, internal search and external discoverability.


Advise and collaborate with communicators
  • Partner with communicators to determine how content should appear and function on the website.
  • Consult on layout, content organization, navigation, headlines, links and imagery to improve UX.
  • Help communicators understand what works on the web, especially if they have limited digital publishing experience.
  • Ask thoughtful questions and recommend adjustments when content, structure or timing could affect page effectiveness.
  • Balance communicator objectives with web standards, audience needs and platform capabilities.


Partner with designers and web/platform teams
  • Collaborate with designers to implement visual concepts and maintain design consistency.
  • Work with web/platform managers on publishing standards, templates, components, functionality and technical issues.
  • Understand platform capabilities and limitations and know when to escalate.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of publishing processes and site experience.


Exercise judgment and protect sensitive information
  • Handle confidential, sensitive and time-critical information appropriately.
  • Follow content approval and release processes and use sound judgment on what is ready for publication.
  • Manage competing priorities, including high-visibility or time-sensitive communications.
  • Maintain accuracy and discretion with information that is not yet publicly released.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, digital media, information technology or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience; 4 years additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years in digital content, web publishing, communications, marketing, content management or a related field.
  • Experience publishing, managing or maintaining content on a website or digital platform, ideally in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of web user experience and content presentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail (accuracy, links, formatting, page presentation).
  • Ability to work effectively across communications, creative, technology and business functions.
  • Strong interpersonal and consulting skills; able to guide partners without being overly prescriptive.
  • Ability to view content from the audience's perspective and make it easier to find, understand and use.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple requests and deadlines.
  • Good judgment, discretion and professionalism with sensitive information.
  • Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly and work within established processes while identifying improvements.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise CMS such as Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, Drupal or similar.
  • Experience working with web designers, UX or digital communications teams.
  • Experience supporting content authors or communicators with web publishing.
  • Familiarity with accessibility, responsive design, SEO and basic web content standards.
  • Experience in a large, complex organization with multiple stakeholders and approvals.
  • Ensure web content aligns with accessibility standards (e.g., alt text, headings, link labels, color contrast) to support an inclusive, ADA-conscious user experience.
  • Partner with designers, developers and communicators to identify and remediate accessibility issues, helping pages meet accessibility guidelines and best practices.
  • Sitecore experience and/or certification are not required. We are looking for someone who understands digital publishing and user experience and can learn the platform.

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $141,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $106,800.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
