AWS is looking for an experienced Storage Solutions Architect to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP (FSxN). You will be a technical authority working closely with service teams to drive innovation and adoption while supporting field teams and strategic customers in enterprise NAS migrations, data center exits, Electronic Design Automation (EDA), and multi-protocol workloads.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable diving deep into storage service internals with engineering teams and explaining complex architectures to technical decision-makers. You will partner with AWS storage service teams to influence roadmaps, document best practices, and drive feature adoption through technical content creation and industry event presentations.

In this role, you will partner with Storage Product and GTM teams to enable key technical use cases and drive service adoption. A key focus is accelerating AWS Transform for FSxN adoption and supporting the field through large-scale data center migrations. Through thought leadership, you will establish best practices, propose service enhancements, and create technical content that enables successful implementation of AWS storage solutions.

This role combines service expertise with strategic customer engagement. Travel requirements are approximately 25%, primarily for speaking engagements and technical events.

Key job responsibilities

- Serve as the primary technical specialist for FSxN, working closely with the service team to drive feature adoption and customer success

- Partner with FSxN GTM/Product teams to develop and execute technical strategies that drive service growth

- Provide architectural guidance to customers implementing enterprise NAS migrations, data center exits, Electronic Design Automation (EDA), and SAP workloads using FSxN

- Create technical content, deliver workshops, and speak at events to educate customers on FSxN best practices

- Capture and advocate for customer feedback to influence the FSxN roadmap, including driving resolution of critical feature gaps blocking large migration pipelines

- Collaborate with field SA teams to support complex customer opportunities and technical challenges

- Mentor other SAs on FSxN architecture patterns and use cases

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent

- Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing

- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent

- Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent

- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

- Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent

- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
