Based in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. NOTE: This position is only available to current and active C2BMC personnel This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations systematically, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations, both globally and regionally, to improve performance. C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems. Candidate will serve in a C2BMC Regional Modeling and Simulation support role, aligned with Agile processes as specified by the program. Candidate will act as a moderator and facilitator, helping the M&S Scrum teams work more efficiently, remove obstacles, and enable continuous improvement, empowering the teams to self-organize. Essential Functions:  Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives  Engage product teams in the principles of self-organization, Agile mindset, and continuous improvement  Partner with Product Owners to scope, prioritize, and plan current and future work  Identify, track, and remove impediments that block team progress  Maintain backlog hygiene and ensure that user stories are well-defined and sprint-ready  Capture, organize, and curate M&S process documentation, customer presentations, internal meeting minutes, etc.  Monitor team health, velocity, and delivery metrics, and report to management  Serve as a resource on Agile techniques, including User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Automated Testing  Perform Data Science and numerical analysis activities where applicable to remove team impediments and increase the likelihood of task completion Basic Qualifications: Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.  A Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Scrum Master, or a related discipline from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Masters degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree  Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start  Process, domain, and programmatic knowledge specific to C2BMC  Scrum Agile training as approved by C2BMC program leadership  Surface understanding of M&S  Radar modeling, C2 federated model, scenario development, and analytics processes experience  Experience using Jira or other Agile management tools, along with MS Office and Teams  Understanding of the hardware and software platforms that constitute the M&S high-side engineering environment  Experience with development and engineering software packages used in M&S development environments is recommended  Experience working as a Scrum Master as part of the SW Development Scrum team  Experience in decomposing (or assisting in decomposing) Agile features to user stories with clear acceptance criteria Preferred Qualifications:  Agile certifications include Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), and Professional Scrum Master (PSM). Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
