About the role:
Join a dynamic and innovative team within the Endoscopy division at Boston Scientific. The Endoscopy Finance team is looking for a highly motivated Principal Financial Analyst that will play a key role in supporting the financial planning, reporting, and analysis of the Global Endoscopy business. This analyst will be responsible for leading the planning, forecasting, and monthly close process for Global Revenue and Gross Margin (GM). This will include partnering with our global teams and functions outside of Endoscopy, including Operations, to understand key strategies and drivers to achieve our revenue and GM goals. The analyst will gather and publish financial information related to historical, current and future performance for management reporting. The analyst will also perform financial analysis and bring forward recommendations utilizing appropriate financial concepts and techniques.
This role will report directly to the Associate Director of Finance with strong collaboration across the finance team.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Collaborate with multifunctional business and franchise leaders to support and grow the Endoscopy business
• Lead the planning, forecasting, and month-end close processes for global revenue and gross margin
• Support the U.S. selling organization's budgeting process
• Analyze and forecast inventory charge activity including excess, expiring, and obsolete product
• Provide financial insights and recommendations regarding portfolio optimization, pricing trends, and market share strategies
• Partner with Operations to understand manufacturing strategies and their impact on gross margin
• Facilitate strategic plans through partnership with marketing, sales, and finance teams
• Present forecasts and insights to finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Identify financial risks and opportunities using data-driven analysis
• Collaborate with accounting to ensure proper revenue forecasting tied to capital programs
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve forecasting and reporting accuracy
• Lead ad hoc financial projects supporting divisional and corporate initiatives
• Support franchise leadership with monthly and quarterly financial analysis
• Partner with the business and bring forward recommendations to improve revenue and GM, including analytics on portfolio rationalization, pricing, and market share strategies.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field
• Five or more years of experience in financial analysis
• Proven track record of business partnering and working closely with senior leadership
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to perform core financial calculations (e.g., growth rates, weighted averages) accurately.
Preferred qualifications:
• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience in revenue FP&A or similar roles; other finance and accounting backgrounds also considered
• Ability to think strategically and proactively address business risks and opportunities
• Strong communication skills adaptable to varied audiences
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, SAP, and financial modeling
• High attention to detail and data accuracy
