Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Mission Assurance Team is seeking a Principal Quality Analystor Senior Principal Quality Analyst located in Iuka, MS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
  • Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Monitors and presents manufacturing performance metrics to Cost Center Operational and Program Management leaders and recommends, based on metric trends, training focus areas that will support scheduled deliverables.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Quality Engineers, and Inspection Teams to document and ensure the right corrective or course of action is best for the customer and part being manufactured.
  • Create and edit First Articles of Inspection and ensure compliance to AS9102.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, hydraulic and fuel system lines, and electrical & electro-mechanical systems.
  • Attend and brief assigned Cost Center meetings and address any requested actions.
  • Investigates problems and develops corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Recommend preventative process and procedural changes to prevent defects.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Build briefings that are focused on manufacturing metric trends with recommended Corrective Actions to help stop negative trends and prevent additional negative trends. Must be able to review and analyze metrics that Cost Center Operational and Program Management leaders need to ensure their teams success.

Basic Qualifications for the Principal Quality Analyst:
  • Bachelors Degree with 5 years of experience in Quality; or Masters Degree with 3 years of experience in Quality; or PhD with 1 year of experience in Quality.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Edge and other office systems experience. Develop, collect, and track metrics for process health and performance monitoring.
  • Experience developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality evaluation & control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
  • Experience editing, reviewing and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Experience performing quality system audits for deficiency identification and correction.
  • QMS experience (AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001, or ISO 9000).
  • Experience in developing or reviewing Root Cause / Corrective Action activities.
  • Experience with writing Material Review Board Discrepancies and Dispositions.
  • Experience in processing data collection, analysis, and metric reporting.
  • Experience with quality controls and/or non-conformance controls.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret or higher clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

  • Experience developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality evaluation & control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
  • Experience editing, reviewing and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Experience performing quality system audits for deficiency identification and correction.

  • Experience with quality controls and/or non-conformance controls in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Self-Starter and ability to work through an issue to closure
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels including management, peers, and outside customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills to include the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, track actions, provide updates to leadership and close-out constraints/action items as completed.

Primary Level Salary Range: $77,000.00 - $115,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $96,200.00 - $144,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
