We're hiring a Principal Product Manager to own and lead strategic email data plane integrations strategy. You'll navigate complex infrastructure challenges with demonstrable technical acumen while actively partnering with key external and internal partners. By transforming ambiguity into resilient, scalable systems, you'll protect vital revenue streams and lay the groundwork for the future growth. Join us to define the next chapter of email at Twilio.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll:
  • Be a subject matter expert on email, cross-channel and partner integrations, resolving complex product issues that arise.
  • Use financial and engineering context to contextualize total opportunity size (and business impact/ROI) of proposed product improvements
  • Develop and lead the multi-year product roadmap for your domain, driving development from concept through launch and ongoing maturity
  • Make synthesized recommendations on priorities by opportunity and timing
  • Partner with GTM stakeholders to ensure successful and measurable delivery of commitments
  • Lead product requirements, program milestones, and launch planning, particularly when it comes to transitioning customers off of old products and APIs in favor of modernized versions.
  • Document ideas and research quickly for review and iteration from your teams, to support our remote-first environment
  • Collaborate with adjacent product managers

*Required:
  • 10+ years experience in product management, with 5+ years in the email domain. You are known as an expert, with a proven track record of outcomes, and shaping the strategy of communication products.
  • Proven ability to work backwards from customer needs, crystallizing problems that translate into impactful product decisions.
  • Strong understanding of how B2B and large enterprises operate, including sales cycles and organizational dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services Cloud services. Understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud services is also strongly desired.
  • Experience in APIs or platform products, including designing for reliability, scale, and developer usability.
  • Soft Skills: Highly collaborative and excel in building cross-functional relationships in remote, global teams; able to mentor, inspire, and set vision for high-impact initiatives


Location

This role will be remote in the United States, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.

Travel

We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project, customer, partner or team in-person meetings.

Compensation

*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
  • Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $171,120.00 - $213,900.00
  • Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area) $181,200.00 - $226,500.00
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $201,280.00 - $251,600.00
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
