We are seeking a Principal Mining Economist.
Description of Responsibilities: - Analyze performance of mining operations
- Prepare economic evaluation of projects and events for business decisions;
- Monitor, analyze, track and forecast macroeconomics and industry-specific trends;
- Lead review of independent mining forecast reliability with engineers/geologists;
- Develop economic cash flow models, write market and financial reports and prepare presentations; and
- Consult on projects for North American and International clients, requiring travel as necessary.
Essential Requirements: - Be a Qualified Person (QP) or have the ability to obtain qualification thereof within 6 months
- 10+ years of experience with financial and economic evaluation of mining projects.
- Degree in mining-related fields
- Multi-disciplinary project leadership and executive level presentation skills and experience
$180,000-$280,000 per annum
