Principal Manufacturing Engineer - Laser & Ultrasonic Welding

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, processing, and material handling.
  • Develop efficient machine and equipment layouts to maximize productivity, throughput, and facility utilization.
  • Define sequences of operations and manufacturing procedures for tools, equipment, and production processes.
  • Adapt machine and equipment designs to meet factory and production requirements.
  • Incorporate inspection and test requirements into manufacturing and production plans.
  • Evaluate machinery, equipment, and tooling performance; identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Develop manufacturing processes that support Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other process improvement techniques.
  • Partner with Engineering and cross-functional teams on design concepts, specifications, equipment selection, and manufacturing methods.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and procedures comply with applicable quality, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Lead or contribute to process improvement, technology implementation, and manufacturing initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to other engineers and technical professionals.
  • Manage moderately complex to large-scale projects, including planning, delegation, stakeholder communication, and review of deliverables.
