DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Principal Manufacturing Analyst based onsite in Rolling Meadows, IL.
This role will operate within the Operations Program Management (OPM) team in Mission Systems. They will serve as an interface between Manufacturing and Program Management. They are responsible for successful execution of the operations / manufacturing scope of a program's Statement of Work (SOW). The role supports and may lead manufacturing planning and readiness efforts while collaborating with all functional organizations to resolve operations conflicts or challenges. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning, quality, systems, manufacturing, material management, and process engineering. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations. This highly motivated individual will be responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to multifunctional teams, including Operations functional support organizations, to ensure all program and manufacturing goals and objectives are met.
- Manufacturing Operations interface with the Program Office
- Creates, maintains and reports on data for repairs in Rolling Meadows via systems of record (GOLD & SAP)
- Primary driver of execution for repairs and spare buys on numerous sustainment programs in Rolling Meadows, from initial induction through WIP (work in progress) and closeout phases.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential manufacturing problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
- Coordinate with multiple functions, to include Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Program Management and Mission Assurance on all aspects of manufacturing programs.
- Support proposals, production planning, and execution of manufacturing programs, while monitoring and addressing all cost, schedule, performance, and quality issues.
Basic Qualifications for the Principal Manufacturing Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant business or manufacturing work experience; OR a master's degree and 3 or more years of relevant business or manufacturing work experience; OR 9 or more years of relevant business or manufacturing work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working on teams and/or projects.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Pivots and Word) experience.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a production planning environment, scheduling, material management and planning, strong analytical skills.
- Experience with Manufacturing Processes
- Experience with SAP and GOLD
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Earned Value reporting, Control Account Management (CAM) and analysis experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
