Job Summary and Responsibilities

Individuals within the Information Technology and Digital Analyst job family serve a vital function as the key liaison between business and technology stakeholders, forging business ideas and processes into concrete requirements to support business operations across the entire CommonSpirit Health enterprise. Solutions must be developed at the best possible cost and align to CommonSpirit's ITD standards, and governance and controls.

To be successful, individuals must possess a combination of business, technical, and leadership skills. This requires an understanding of customers' business needs, processes, and functions. Individuals in this job family must possess the ability to quickly grasp business needs and assess impact to ITD operations and systems and are responsible for facilitating the technical requirements analysis process, developing strong working relationships with business partners, and building knowledge in assigned areas of technical expertise. Individuals working in this job family must possess the capacity to identify, analyze and drive problems to resolution. In addition, individuals working in this job family must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others. They must also be able to quickly assess the impact of issues, metrics and dependencies to identify, prioritize and implement improvements.

The Principal Analyst is responsible for complete ownership of technical and process documentation that supports our organization and has an expert understanding of the technology/process for the assigned area of responsibility. An incumbent of this role is expected to be an expert in their field and a mentor for others. A person in this role will have responsibilities of educating cross-functional teams and will be expected to reflect our mission and goals at all times.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Provides advice, guidance, and support to help people to adopt and embed best-practice approaches to process management. Maintains procedures in the assigned area of responsibility. Reviews them regularly for effectiveness and efficiency. Manages and maintains process compliance in line with business and regulatory requirements involving knowledge of technical processes, tools and techniques. Identifies, assesses and communicates associated risks.
  • Leads focused technical analysis discussions, delivers supporting artifacts and drives review sessions for all necessary approvals.
  • Selects, acquires and integrates data for analysis. Develops data hypotheses and methods, trains and evaluates analytics models, shares insights and findings and continues to iterate with additional data.
  • Models and analyzes current state and future state processes; fosters understanding of how a project impacts current state.
  • Project assignments are complex projects or enterprise-wide assignments.
  • Works on one or more projects or process areas as an expert and provides direction where required.
  • Remote eligible.
