The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Delta 7 (DEL 7) 75th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Squadron (75 ISRS) at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado is searching for a Principal Intelligence Analyst (GG-0132-13).

Description:

As a Principal Intelligence Analyst for the 75th ISRS Unit Operations Mission, this position serves as a vital multi-source intelligence expert, engaging in the complex technical analysis and production of integrated intelligence to provide critical battlespace awareness for combatant commanders and national customers. The analyst leads and performs complex, multi-disciplinary analysis of classified and unclassified information to understand adversary strengths and weaknesses, often developing novel analytical methods where established procedures are insufficient. This role involves advising senior leaders on air, space, and cyberspace operations, managing the full intelligence production cycle from requirement to dissemination, and serving as an authoritative functional expert on ISR issues in high-level forums with service, national, and coalition partners. Ultimately, the analyst delivers fused intelligence products and strategic recommendations that directly influence operational policy, resource allocation, and the successful execution of global military operations.

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced intelligence professional, preferably holding an advanced degree, with a demonstrated record of success operating at a full-performance level. This individual possesses extensive, expert-level knowledge of the complete intelligence cycle, including a full range of research and collection methods, advanced analytical principles, and database manipulation techniques. They have a sophisticated understanding of the national intelligence community, Joint, and DoD organizational structures and inter-relationships. The candidate is a technical expert skilled in conducting unbiased, complex research across multiple sources to produce detailed analyses and collection requirements, exercising independent judgment and resourcefulness to develop new methodologies when faced with ambiguous situations. As an exceptional communicator, they can deliver clear and concise written products and verbal briefings on highly complex matters to senior decision-makers and are adept at collaborating with mid-level counterparts across the intelligence community and with coalition partners to achieve strategic objectives. Finally, the candidate must be able to thrive under pressure, making sound, timely assessments and recommendations while maintaining control of highly sensitive, classified material.

Key Skills and Abilities:

  1. Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research, processing, and exploitation methods, techniques, and practices using multi-source intelligence information to capture and report intelligence information in a usable form that directly or indirectly affects national security; interprets policy and commits resources impacting intelligence capabilities.
  2. Knowledge of advanced USAF and national ISR processing and exploitation, PED capabilities, systems, and multi-source intelligence production policies to process and exploit complex information/situations attained from multiple sources.
  3. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, mission/functions, interrelationships, and operations.
  4. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing processing and exploitation requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients.
  5. Skill in communicating effectively with others both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes.
  6. Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or defend a position effectively.

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with eligibility for access to SCI and other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information to fully perform the duties of the position.
  • A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
  • Polygraph: Incumbent is required to undergo a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
  • An advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is desirable.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
  • PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at: https://afciviliancareers.com/regulatory/.
  • Incentive is not authorized.
  • Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
  • Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
