Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Principal Fracture Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Salary: $110,000- $140,000/yr DOE

Responsibilities

  • Provide in depth technical and engineering leadership and supports the development of new technologies on a global scale
  • Be accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-offs of quality control data as acceptable
  • Be expected to provide guidance in non-routine situation testing
  • Have the ability to oversee complex technical problem-solving activities
  • Interact with customers on technical issues and questions
  • Provide input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers
  • Be confident in making both formal and informal presentations on complex testing to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers within a global reach
  • Carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data
  • Utilize an assortment of skill, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis
  • Be an expert at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions


Skills / Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • Possess a high level of expertise related to scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of chosen engineering discipline
  • Possess a Bachelors of Science degree in a science or testing related field
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' pertinent post degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications
  • Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element's business
  • In-depth understanding of testing concepts
  • Can analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performed
  • Possess strong computer skills
