As Capital One grows the operations and servicing teams become increasingly important to drive scale, differentiated customer experience, and efficiencies. This role will support the Card Operations team, within the Customer Service and Strategy Organization, with a focus on agent operations. As a Principal Associate on the team, you will be responsible for consolidating financial results across Card Servicing towers, reporting and communicating results to key business stakeholders, analyzing performance and efficiency metrics and identifying trends.

You will analyze financial results, socialize drivers and impact, and provide recommendations based on the results to Card Operations business leaders. This role will also support building new, sustainable, and efficient processes as we continue to integrate legacy Discover and legacy Capital One Financial data and associates through automation and leveraging AI.

General Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis
• Lead development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teams
• Accurately analyze & explain key cost drivers and monthly variances, suggest actions to the business, and help manage the regular reporting process
• Proactively identify and lead new analysis that drives additional insights into business performance and opportunities
• Partner with finance leaders and their teams, as well as other internal stakeholders
• Identify and drive process improvements to generate efficiencies in a well-managed way
• React to ad-hoc requests and special projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or Military experience
• At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or a combination

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Masters Degree in Finance
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and financial modeling
• 3+ years of experience in financial services, banking or technology industries
• 3+ years of experience partnering with senior leaders and internal stakeholders

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
