Position PurposeThe MS&T Engineer is accountable for supporting day-to-day business with process engineering and scientific knowledge and resources; focused on site and/or project execution and support. The MS&T Engineer works closely with the local value stream leads and engineering leads.
Responsibilities:- Ensure that customer expectations are met for business KPIs and work priorities. Support on time closure of deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and regulatory commitments. Leads complex projects at the site level. Work independently with site stakeholders.
- Ongoing support of key process improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoots and investigates equipment problems in the facility, coordinating with appropriate teams to resolve issues and prevent reoccurrence;
- Executes short-term improvement projects, liaising with all the relevant parties to ensure accurate execution.
- Supports large projects at the site level and/or support medium/high risk deviations. Provides data driven decisions and helps with analysis of process, project, and deviations.
- Successfully interface with other departments; collaborate closely with other engineers, as well as cross-functionally with multidepartment teams to implement technical process solutions and execute projects. Works independently with other groups and communicates decisions to team manager.
Qualifications:Education- Bachelor's degree required in Engineering or Science discipline
Experience- 5 years or more working in Process Engineering in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Operations, Chemical Manufacturing or similar industry.
- 2+ years working experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech operations working in a technical role (specific technical experience to be define as required i.e., purification, aseptic filling etc.)
- Direct experience with regulated environments (i.e. cGMP, OSHA, EPA) required.
- Strong communication and conflict management skills to influence project professionals and stakeholders, including non-specialists, at all levels in the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in managing, organizing, developing and deploying best practice frameworks, processes, tools and templates in an Operations context, in alignment with Enterprise standards.
- Involvement in cross-functional, multicultural and international teams.

The expected base salary range for this position at hiring is $106,000 - $133,000. Please note this salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay that CSL expects to pay for this position at the listed location as of the time of this posting. Individual base salary for a successful candidate is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and other relevant factors. In addition to base salary, total compensation for this role may also include incentive compensation and equity.
