The interiors team is looking for an experienced aircraft structural engineer to join the team in Winston Salem. The ideal candidate will have aircraft seating engineering experience.
This is an onsite position based in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
What You Will Do:
Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers, and customers.
Participate in multiple PMT coordination and collaboration meetings to drive execution of customer-funded and sustaining projects.
Assist with program planning and communication.
Leverage skills and experience to connect members of multifunctional teams and drive effective communication around projects.
Interface directly with regulators to support programs.
Assist with process development and documentation.
Mentor and coach developing engineers.
Travel ~10% is anticipated.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
U.S. Person required - Job requires access to ITAR or 600/500-series EAR information or hardware (directly or indirectly) and the company will not seek an export authorization for this role.
Experience working in an aircraft-level (Part 25) certification role.
Experience leading a team of engineers is required.
Must have knowledge of traditional project management practices as well as agile methodologies.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, or Systems Engineering.
Advanced Degree in Engineering.
Familiarity with showing compliance to 14 CFR Part 25 regulations.
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Experience leading cross-functional global teams to execute on established project plans.
Knowledge of composite material design, manufacturing, and qualification.
The ability to effectively communicate risks, challenges, and cost impacts to executive leadership.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
