Job Description:We are looking for a Principal Process Engineer who enjoys working within a team environment. In this role, you will support the wafer fab tools and processes in one or more functional areas (Photo, Etch, Deposition, Diffusion, etc.) in a fab that makes PIN, Zener and Schottky Diodes on Silicon and Gallium Arsenide wafers with emphasis on Commercial & Military Communication/RADAR & Instrumentation market.This is a great opportunity for engineers looking for a hands-on job in a small manufacturing facility.The Principal Process Engineer I is responsible for developing, monitoring, and testing wafer fab semiconductor products. Specific responsibilities can include:- Act as a subject matter expert in the areas of semiconductor wafer processing, providing cross-functional support
- Detailed understanding of any one of the process modules mentioned above.
- Creating and updating process specifications
- Study and improve equipment performance for improved reliability and repeatability
- Study and improve process performance for improved control and repeatability
- Leading Teams to improve yields, reduce cycle time or reduce cost
- Use Statistical Process Control for process monitoring of critical parameters
- Process qualification of new equipment
- Analyze and present data to technical audience
- Other design, development, and support tasks as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing
- Ability to think out-of-the-box and create unique solutions to problems
- Knowledge and experience with Silicon Wafer Fabrication Process
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DoE)
- Familiar with Six Sigma principles and methods
- Proficiency in problem solving using 8D reports or other methodologies
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required for data analysis
- Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in data analysis with tools like Microsoft Excel, JMP, etc.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Effective verbal and written communication skills (English)
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:- Legacy wafer fab working with technologies on 3" to 6" wafers is a plus
- Experience in photo or etch is a plus
- Skills in using AI improve to do research, analyze data and present data a plus

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $75,000 - $232,000.*
*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
