DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer. This position is located in Azusa, CA
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
Working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Ensure appropriate coordination between electrical design and other integration teams.
Coordinate electrical system engineering content and work products.
Review engineering deliverables such as one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, part data sheets, interconnect connect diagrams, specifications, electrical analysis and trade studies.
May perform research, trade studies, evaluation, and systems integration in electrical or electro-mechanical systems, cables, connectors, power systems, test equipment, and more.
Possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively to understand system level interdependencies that impact electrical requirements and design constraints.
Demonstrate leadership principles – Integrity, respect, organizational, communication etc.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree or 0 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Knowledgeable with Siemens Teamcenter PLM or equivalent.
Expertise with Zuken, cables and interconnects
Experience with special test equipment
Electrical engineering experience in at least one of the following fields: electrical architecture, power systems, cable design, circuit design, interface definition (internal and/or external), or power distribution.
Experience with Authorship and release of engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working experience with designing cables
Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, milestone reviews, and government contracting
Experience maintaining and reporting status of program activities

- Employee Discounts This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
