About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly experienced Workplace Technology Collaboration Principal Engineer to lead the strategy, architecture, engineering, and operational excellence of enterprise collaboration and voice technologies. This role will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise voice solutions, trader communications environments, Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms, and cloud-based collaboration services.


The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Trader Voice/IPPC platforms, and Cloud9 trader communication technologies, Microsoft 365 (Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID) technologies, with a proven ability to deliver highly available, secure, and compliant collaboration services within a regulated financial services environment.

This position partners closely with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Compliance, Trading, Operations, and Workplace Technology teams to ensure a best-in-class end-user experience while supporting business-critical communications.


In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the senior technical leader for enterprise voice, trader communications, and collaboration technologies. This role is primarily responsible for the strategy, architecture, engineering, and operational excellence of Trader Voice, IPPC, Cloud9, enterprise telephony, SIP/VoIP infrastructure, voice recording, and communications compliance platforms that support business-critical communications across trading and front-office environments.
  • In addition to voice technologies, this role provides technical leadership for the broader collaboration ecosystem, including Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 services. The Principal Engineer will define technology roadmaps, establish engineering standards, drive modernization initiatives, and ensure collaboration and communication platforms remain secure, resilient, compliant, and highly available.
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise collaboration, unified communications, or workplace technology engineering.
  • 2+ years supporting financial services, capital markets, or trading environments.
  • Expert-level knowledge of VOIP and trader voice platforms.
  • Deep expertise in:
